I haven't taken it out of my car CD player since receiving it almost a month ago. I absolutely love this product. If you love Broadway musicals, chances are, you'll love this music. It's a good one. I recently attended a performance of Aida and immediately went home and ordered the CD off of Amazon. It is great quality, and a wonderful balance of fun and moving music performed by skilled performers.
The music and lyrics are beautiful and powerful and the performers voices carry the songs so well. Quite possibly one of the best musicals ever written with a fantastic cast. I love Adam Pascal, Sherie Renee Scott and Heather Headley.
Loved the B'way show; hence, still love listening to the CD--can't get enough. This is my second CD.
Rather than see Elton John's production or buy this soundtrack, treat yourself to the original opera. Verdi must be rolling over in his grave. Is it possible to give negative stars. This is the most sappy music I've, and all of the songs begin to sound identical if you listen long enough.
The fact that the words and outlineof the musical AIDA with photos of some scenes and characters were included was very helpful on making the music come alive. My students and I enjoyed this CD.
